The girls…

by C on April 24, 2010

My girls. Super sweet that they are, are making me crazy. I know this because I have all the symptoms of someone who’s completely lost it. For example:

- On more then one occasion I’ve broken into fits of hysterical laughter, for no apparent reason.

- Fits of hysterical laughter are often followed by uncontrollable sobbing.

- I will typically and with utter abandon, run wildly through a public park.

- I often break into very loud renditions of Old McDonald or B-I-N-G-O without a care.

- I honestly look forward to getting up early.

- I’ve left the house in pig-tails with half a dozen barrettes peppered throughout my hair.

- I no longer eat regular pancakes, they have to shaped like Stars, Hearts or Flowers.

- I often repeat myself, often.

- Just this morning I was under a sheet camping and thwarting the efforts of a very ferocious bear.

- I’ve been known to yell very loudly over uneaten vegetables.

- I’ve been known to yell very loudly period.

- Phineas & Ferb is one of my favorite TV Shows.

- I will search the house from top to bottom for a lost Bunny.

- I’ve broken into applause and tears after someone used the bathroom.

It’s like I said, I’m certifiable and yet, I wouldn’t want to change a thing. That probably makes me the craziest of all. ; )

Earth Day..Avatarded

April 22, 2010

While I am looking forward to watching Avatar again in the comfort of my own home….I kinda feel like the mass distribution of a non-biodegradable DVD, for a movie that carries a very strong “eco-friendly” message, ON EARTH DAY, a little…ummm…dumb. Frankly, I’m willing to bet that the Na’vi of Pandora would be horrified. Granted, they are fictional characters who don’t [...]

Hello..is it me you’re lookin’ for?

April 20, 2010

In an effort to try to get back into the blogging spirit, I am forcing myself to sit for the next 15 minutes and just type. So here goes: Today I was thinking about people I haven’t thought about in a very long time. Old classmates, old friends, old..(cough) luv-ahs. Anyway, my mind started doing [...]

The next chapter begins..

October 7, 2009

I’m not even sure how to begin…this is nothing short of miraculous…I was offered a job, the perfect job in fact and I accepted. I will be working as a Marketing/Promo Rep for a group of physicians. The job offers flexible hours and is really an all around family friendly opportunity. I’m thrilled because it [...]

3-2-1 Blast off…

September 24, 2009

Total meltdown. It feels like an utter disaster when things boil over with my kids. It gets to a frenzied point where I swear something in me is going to break. In the throws of one of Little E’s tantrums, I have trouble taking a step back and rationalizing with myself that she’s just a [...]

Unbelievable…but true.

September 18, 2009

This week has left me at a loss for words. Ok obviously not at a complete loss.    Right, so I’ve been working with a recruiter to help me find employment. Things had been looking fairly promising and I was approached by said recruiter for what sounded like an amazing opportunity. An absolute miracle if it [...]

Great Expectations…

September 13, 2009

I can’t believe I’ve been M.I.A. from the blog for this long. Sorry about that folks. I just KNOW you’ve all been just sitting in front of your computers waiting for me to update and have I got a doozy for you. Over the past several years I’ve kind of become an unofficial relationship counselor [...]

To Sleep or not to Sleep….

September 4, 2009

My daughter Little E is um… spirited. By that I mean it is currently 10:10PM and she is debating with us her right to be able to stay awake if she’s not tired. She makes a convincing argument, but I shake my head, because that’s what moms do and send her back to her room.  [...]

what I do at night…

September 1, 2009

Stop scratching. I mean it, stop it. You’re going to disfigure yourself. Little E, please, stop. Here let’s try this cream, lotion or potion. Anything? Nothing. Let’s soak you in a tub of oats. Helping? No? Shit. I mean shoot, don’t repeat what Mami just said. Yes, I know it’s a bad word. I’m sorry [...]

ah, there’s the rub…

August 26, 2009

Over the course of the next few weeks I will be blogging about skin care. Why? Because Little E has eczema and I need to, have to, MUST help her. I’m most distressed by the fact that as each spot heals it leaves behind a white discoloration on her skin. Most recently these spots have [...]
